How to Make a Headband Braid

Switch up your look this fall with a beautiful headband braid from stylist Victoria.

Prep the hair: Start with a little bit of Restore Instant Protection and curl with a 1-inch barrel curling iron. Wrap each section loosely around the barrel to create a relaxed beachy waves. To give the hair texture, take a dollop  of Amp Instant Texture Volumizer and gently muss through the hair.

Step 1: With a rattail comb, use the tail end to create a diagonal section at the front of the hair.

3

Step 2: Dutch braid (aka reverse French braid) the section.

4

Step 3: Take a diagonal section in the back of the head and clip the remainder out of the way. Braid the section that was left out.

Step 4: Starting at the bottom of each braid, gently loosen each section to create a fanning effect.

6

Step 5: Using the remainder of the hair, create an off-center ponytail and secure with an elastic.

7

Step 6: Twist ponytail into a low bun, and secure with bobby pins.

8

Step 7: Wrap the braids around the bun and then secure.
