Now that the weather is getting warmer, we get asked the question all the time by clients, “does your hair really grow faster in the summer?” The short answer to this question is yes, but it’s such a small amount, you wouldn’t even notice it. UV exposure, hormone changes, and eating more fruits and vegetables in the warmer months can all increase your hair’s growth, but only minimally. Hair usually grows half an inch a month so tack a few millimeters onto that and that’s what you can expect your hair’s growth to be. While this may not give you the long summer locks you’ve been looking for, you’ll be happy to know you won’t be needing any extra haircuts.
