6 Hairstyles We Love From NYFW

From Altuzarra’s lady-like curls to white frozen hair at Fenty x Puma, there was no shortage of inspiring hairstyles on the fall runways this year. While there were countless styles we can’t wait to recreate, we’ve narrowed down our top 6 favorites below:

  1. Prabal Gurung’s Romantic Ponytail
Hair stylist Anthony Turner created this disheveled twist on a rolled-edge ponytail with the idea “that the hair was once very perfect, but she’s gotten lost in the forest.”
  2. Altuzarra’s Soft Ringlets
The emphasis was on soft, lady-like curls at Altuzarra this year. Hairstylist Odile Gilbert wanted to emphasize the natural hair people are born with while still adding a bit of volume.
  3. Double Braids at Creatures of the Wind
Braids were all over the runways this season and the models at Creatures of the Wind were no exception. Stylist Anthony Turner was inspired by Snoop Dogg’s signature braids to create two looks–pigtail braids and low ponytails that were twisted into netting to keep any stray ends from escaping.

  4. Messy Knots at Derek Lam
Hair stylist Orlando Pita’s ode to effortless hair is something we can definitely get on board with. His messy low knot is something you could easily rock at the gym or on a night out.

  5. Winter White at Fenty x Puma by Rihanna
Perhaps the most talked about show this past week was the Fenty x Puma show. Rihanna’s personal hair stylist Yusef Williams created this “frozen” look with white paint and super slicked back hair.

  6. Suno’s Velvet Wrapped Ponytail
French hairstylist Odile Gilbert was inspired by Elizabeth Olsen’s hair at the I Saw the Light premiere and created these velvet wrapped ponytails specifically for the show. To recreate the look yourself, check out the step by step here.
